Why Michigan?
Michigan, the "Great Lakes State"
Michigan is a state located in the Midwestern region of the United States and is known for its diverse landscape and abundant natural resources. From its Great Lakes coastline to its rolling hills and forests, Michigan offers a unique blend of scenic beauty and urban excitement.
Michigan is the only state in the United States that touches four of the five Great Lakes (Huron, Michigan, Erie, and Superior). This makes Michigan the largest state in the country with a freshwater coastline. The Great Lakes provide Michigan with endless recreational opportunities and support its shipping and fishing industries.
